Kingston Beach Foreshore
Project summary.
The Kingston Beach Foreshore project was a council designed facelift to the popular beach precinct. The upgrade involved construction of a composite timber deck and walkway with a polished stainless steel handrail along the full length, providing picnic tables and seating along with a beach shower and drinking fountain. The streetscape was completed across the road with an exposed aggregate footpath and breakout space from the restaurant seating areas, with a formed concrete wall and glass balustrading along the kerbside. Trees were planted using the structural StrataCell system to allow a structured root-space under the pavement.
SLS was pleased to be involved in an upgrade which has provided an improved recreational area along the beachfront for locals and visitors alike.
